LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska troopers arrested two men after finding a mixture containing fentanyl and cocaine in a car near North Platte on Tuesday.

Around 1:45 p.m., a trooper pulled over an SUV for a license plate violation on Interstate 80, just southwest of Hershey.

While speaking with the vehicle’s occupants, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity and searched the SUV, the patrol said.

Inside, troopers found about 6.6 pounds of a fentanyl and cocaine mixture, according to the patrol.

Troopers then arrested the driver, 25-year-old Alfonso Carillo of Arizona, and passenger, 43-year-old Celso Carillo of Utah.

Both were arrested on suspicion of possessing an exceptionally hazardous drug, possession of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver.

The patrol says they were lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.
