LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two Pennsylvanians were arrested Monday after troopers found over 300 pounds of marijuana in their car near Sidney.
Around 3:50 p.m., a trooper pulled over a speeding vehicle on a road just south of Dix, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
The trooper then smelled marijuana and began a search of the vehicle, the patrol said.
Inside, troopers found 312 pounds of marijuana. They also found that the driver, 19-year-old Noah Ropon, had a fake driver’s license.
Ropon and the passenger, 20-year-old Anthony George, were arrested on suspicion of possessing more than 1 pound of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver.
The patrol said Ropon was also cited on suspicion of criminal impersonation.
