Nebraska upsets Purdue, remains undefeated in conference play

The Huskers are now 10-0 in Big Ten play after beating No. 7 Purdue in four sets (23-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-21).

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No. 9 Nebraska volleyball upset No. 7 Purdue Saturday night in a thrilling four-set match (23-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-21). The Huskers are now 10-0 in Big Ten play and remain in first place in the conference.

Reigning Big Ten Player of the Week Madi Kubik lead Nebraska with 15 kills. She was closely followed by Kayla Caffey and Lauren Stivrins who each recorded 14. Lindsey Krause had 13 kills on the night.

Setter Nicklin Hames also shined for the Huskers posting three kills, 48 assists and 17 digs. She also reached over 4,000 career assists in Saturday’s match, making her the third Husker to break 4,000 assists since Fiona Nepo and Kelly Hunter.

Nebraska’s next test is Wednesday against No. 3 Wisconsin at the Devaney.
