Nebraska volleyball seniors speak ahead of anticipated season
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The number one preseason ranked Nebraska volleyball team spoke to the media yesterday, Aug. 13, in preparation for upcoming, anticipated season.
Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly said the preseason ranking means less than last year.
“We’re not really talking about it this year,” Busboom Kelly said. “Not as much as last year. It means less to this group this year than ever because it’s the way we finish.”
Senior Bergen Reilly said the team was apprehensive about the ranking.
“When that ranking came out we were all in the locker room. We were almost like ‘we don’t want it’,” Reilly said. “Of course we love that people have confidence in us, but it’s also just an outside noise. We want to go in everyday and prove ourselves.”
The Nebraska Huskers get to play at big venues including the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs.
