Nebraska Women’s Basketball falls to No. 9 Maryland 95-73

The Huskers suffered their fourth straight loss on Sunday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska (9-9, 7-8 Big Ten)  hosted No. 9 Maryland  (14-2,  10-1) on Saturday in a Play4Kay Day game. The Huskers were coming off an 88-81 loss over Iowa. Maryland put up an impressive performance led by Diamond Miller, and grabbed a 95-73 win.

The Huskers only trailed by 11 points after the first quarter, but the Terrapins came out strong in the second quarter. Nebraska couldn’t handle Maryland’s full court trap. Maryland held a 51-33 lead going into into halftime.  Ashley Owusu led Maryland with 25 points and Chloe Bibby added 16 points.

Ruby Porter led Nebraska with 19 points while Kate Cain and Isabelle Bourne each had 17 points.
