Nebraska women’s basketball just misses top 25 in preseason poll
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —The Nebraska women’s basketball team just missed reaching the top 25 in the new preseason AP poll.
The Huskers received 47 votes, only four votes behind No. 25 North Carolina State. They had finished their 2025-26 season with an overall record of 19-13, recording 7-11 in Big Ten games.
It is Amy Williams’ 11th year as the Cornhuskers head coach.
The Husker basketball teams’ first regular season game is on Nov. 2 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. They are playing San Jose State with the time still to be determined.
