Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana holds public conference discussing future of medical cannabis

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana group held a public conference last night. They discussed Nebraska’s future medical cannabis rollout and problems that the public are experiencing.

Some patients are legally allowed to obtain medical marijuana but facility rules make it difficult to obtain it.

“I consulted with a Colorado doctor in 2014 on how to do this,” a member of the public said. “I’m doing it on the doctor’s orders. It isn’t recommended but only in this state.”

The medical marijuana legislation is making its way through Nebraska right now with no timeline.
