LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB) urges Nebraska’s congressional delegation to reject President Biden’s Build Back Better Act (BBB).

According to a White House press release, the BBB will invest in child care, combat climate change, expand health care and focus on the middle class.

NEFB President Mark McHargue wrote a letter to Nebraska’s House of Representatives saying the cost of the bill and the increased taxes surpass any benefit in the legislation.

“Given our continued concerns with increased inflation along with the significant amount of federal spending which has occurred over the past two years, now is not the time to spend trillions more and significantly increase taxes,” McHargue said.

McHargue asked the representatives to oppose the vote when it’s time for a vote on the House floor.
