New American Job Center building open in downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A new building for the American Job Center of Lancaster and Saunders Counties opened on Wednesday.

It moved from the Southeast Community College building downtown to the corner of 14th and N Streets.

The job center is a place for people looking for jobs to receive free help applying for jobs and creating resumes and cover letters.

They can also get one-on-one time with someone who will guide them to other resources they may qualify for.

“Sometimes there’s barriers to employment, such as transportation, food, housing, different stuff like that,” said Ronesha Love, who manages the center. “It’s really important that my staff understand the local resources and agencies that are here in Lincoln, so that way they can best serve everyone that comes through our office.”

The American Job Center is open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

If you park in the attached garage, the job center will validate your parking.
