New scammers in Buffalo County posing as Publishers Clearing House, offering victims millions
BUFFALO COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office announced a new reoccurring scam that has happened in the last several days.
According to BSO, scammers are claiming people have won millions of dollars through Publishers Clearing House.
The scammers ask victims to send money in some way like gift cards and cash, to pay for taxes, fees, processing or delivery costs. BSO said the scammers may know personal information about victims and sound professional.
Some victims have already lost thousands of dollars, according to BSO.
