New York City subway shooter suspect expected to plead guilty

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The man accused of opening fire on the NYC subway in April intends to plead guilty to new charges against him.

Frank James was originally facing just two federal charges in the incident that left ten people injured.

He’s now facing ten counts of committing a terrorist attack against a mass transit system.

That’s one for each victim.

Each one of those charges carries a possible life in prison sentence.

He’s also facing an additional charge of discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.

James is expected to enter a guilty plea January third.

It’s not known if a plea deal with prosecutors is involved.
