Norfolk man arrested for assault by strangulation, false imprisonment

NORFOLK, Neb. (KLKN) — On Sept. 9, Norfolk Police Division (NPD) made an arrest regarding an investigation involving an alleged domestic assault.

Ruben Lorenzana Jr., 32, of Norfolk, was arrested after the investigation, which began on Sept. 5.

Officers recieved information regarding injuries sustained by an adult female and made contact with the victim. After investigation, officers discovered Lorenzana had assaulted the victim during an argument.

Lorenzana assaulted the victim by kicking her, placing his hands around her neck and restricting her ability to breathe, striking her, making threats and preventing her from leaving.

Officers also obtained photographs from the assault that showed additional injuries.

Lorenzana was arrested for terroristic threats, assault by strangulation or suffocation, domestic assault and false imprisonment.
