NSAA postpones state championship baseball games due to weather

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The NSAA has decided to postpone Friday’s state baseball championship games due to forecasted weather, the organization announced on Thursday.
After consulting with the National Weather Service and Perry Weather, the NSAA said there is a high probability of thunderstorms throughout Friday that could affect the games.
“Based on that information and taking into account facility availability, graduation ceremonies, TV broadcast schedules, etc. – in order to provide a positive championship experience for our member schools and communities, the decision has been made to move the State Baseball Finals to Saturday, May 23rd,” the NSAA said.
The updated schedule is as follows:
Saturday, May 23rd @ Werner Park
- 12:00 p.m. – Class C: Mount Michael vs. Lincoln Lutheran
- 3:30 p.m. – Class B: Elkhorn North vs. Omaha Skutt Catholic
- 7:00 p.m. – Class A: Millard North vs. Lincoln East
