NSP: 30lbs of marijuana uncovered during traffic stop

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KLKN) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) uncovered 30 lbs of marijuana and several other controlled substances during an I-80 traffic stop.
NSP reports pulling over a Honda Accord speeding down I-80, near Maxwell, around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
While contacting the driving, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity and searched the vehicle.
In the car, the trooper found a substantial amount of marijuana, along with smaller amounts of cocaine, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, and prescription pills. A concealed handgun was also uncovered.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old Kenneth Peek of South Carolina. Peek was arrested on multiple drug and firearm charges.
