NSP arrests 60 for impaired driving during holiday season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – NSP troopers have arrested 60 drivers for driving under the influence over the holiday season.
The arrests were made during the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. NSP says troopers worked overtime throughout the holiday season to reduce the potential for serious injury or fatality crashes.
“Every DUI arrest has the potential of saving lives,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol.
Along with the 60 arrests for driving under the influence, troopers issued over 700 citations for speeding, 75 for driving under suspension, 27 minors in possession of alcohol and 17 for not wearing a seatbelt.
“This was a busy holiday season on the roads, as many people were able to gather with families and friends across our state,” said Colonel Bolduc.
