NSP arrests Minnesota homicide suspect in North Platte

The suspect is wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in St. Paul, Minn.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska state troopers arrested a Minnesota homicide suspect during a traffic stop near North Platte on Friday.

Minnesota law enforcement wanted the suspect in connection with a homicide in St. Paul, Minn., according to NSP.

Minnesota law enforcement notified NSP Friday morning that the suspect could be traveling through Nebraska.

An NSP trooper found the suspect’s vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 83, north of North Platte. The vehicle matched the description given by Minnesota law enforcment.

The trooper pulled over the suspect and took 37-year-old Danell Christner of Maplewood, Minn. into custody without incident.

NSP arrested Christner on a warrant from Ramsey County, Minn. for 2nd-degree murder. Christner currently resides at the Lincoln County Jail, waiting to be sent to Minnesota.
