NSP: Four passengers found with meth, driver under the influence

MCCOOK, Neb. (KLKN) — Five arrests have been made by the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) following a traffic stop near McCook.

A trooper pulled over a Dodge Journey for driving without its lights on around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday on Hwy 6.

After contacting the driver, who appeared to be impaired, the trooper noted there were no license plates on the car either.

The driver, 42-year-old Andrew Blume of Indianola, was arrested for a DUI and driving under suspension, as well as several drug charges.

The trooper also found the four passengers to be in possession of methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia.

The passengers- 19-year-old Timothy Jauken, 21-year-old Elora Towne, 23-year-old Sheridan Stark, and 35-year-old Jonathan Essex- were arrested on multiple drug charges.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
