HUMBOLDT, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska State Patrol has begun an investigation into two unattended deaths that occurred in Pawnee County.

NSP says they do not suspect any foul play in the two deaths discovered on Wednesday.

The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from NSP after finding two deceased in a residence at 62955 Highway 4, near Humboldt.

A postal worker notified the Sheriff’s Office after noticing the mail hadn’t been retrieved at the home for multiple weeks.

Deputies then performed a welfare check and found the two deceased individuals in the home.

Investigators say they did not find any injuries on the two individuals. NSP identified them as 55-year-old Dirk Dobrovolny and 86-year-old Ila Dobrovolny, both of who lived at the home.

NSP says the investigation is currently ongoing.
