NSP releases Husker gameday traffic enforcement stats

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska State Patrol has released its traffic enforcement stats for the 2021 Husker football season.

During this year’s football Saturdays, NSP arrested 58 people for driving under the influence, 31 arrests happened in Lancaster County.

“Husker gamedays are great opportunities to gather with friends and fellow fans, but it’s important to make plans if your gameday experience involves alcohol,” said Captain Sean Caradori, Commander of Troop H, based in Lincoln.

NSP also issued 18 citations for open alcohol containers and 12 citations for minor in possession.

“While the Husker football season is behind us this year, we encourage all motorists to do their part to keep Nebraska roads safe,” said Captain Caradori.
