LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Charlie Cook, made a post on Twitter on December 21st urging people to drive safe this holiday season.

As the holidays approach more drivers head to the roadways distracted or inebriated.

According to Trooper Cook, distracted driving doesn’t just pertain to phones, an array of things can cause dangerous distracted driving.

Trooper Perry responded to multiple calls that an individual was driving all over the road and was potentially drunk.  Once the driver was pulled over, NSP found the reason for the bad driving.  The driver had his pet pig lose in his car and on his lap as he was attempting to get to his destination.

Nebraska State Patrol urges everyone to do their part as everyone travels to see friends and family this holiday season.
