Ogallala woman killed in north Lincoln crash, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Ogallala woman was killed in a north Lincoln crash on Friday, police say.

The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. when a vehicle exited Cornhusker Highway onto North 14th Street, crossed both lanes and crashed into a power pole.

The vehicle then came to a stop in a grassy area east of the ramp, according to police.

Both occupants were taken to a local hospital.

The passenger, 47-year-old Laura Devries, was later pronounced dead.

The driver, 47-year-old David Devries, remains in the hospital, police say.
