Omaha woman reamains hospitalized after being hit by car

 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – According to Omaha Police Department an unknown woman was taken to Nebraska Medicine by Omaha Fire Department on Friday.

Officials said they were called to a serious injury crash shortly after 9:30PM on N. 42nd and Lake Streets.

A westbound 2010 Kia Optima was crossing the intersection when a female pedestrian did not yield to the Kia and walked from north to south into the roadway where she was struck.

OPD has not released any information on the driver of the Kia Optima, whether or not they will be charged or if either of the parties involved were under the influence.
