Omaha Westside kicker Tristan Alvano commits to Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska has secured a commitment from an in-state kicker.

Omaha Westside’s Tristan Alvano announced via Twitter on Friday that he has committed to play at Nebraska.

On Nov. 21, Alvano helped lead Omaha Westside to a victory over Gretna in the Class A championship game with a 45-yard field goal.

He ended the championship game with five field goals – the most in Class A playoff history.

Alvano is the sixth-best kicker in the 2023 class of recruits, according to Kohl’s Professional Football Camps.

On Monday, the Huskers picked up three commitments, including one from Syncere Safeeullah, a three-star cornerback playing for IMG Academy.
