LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska’s Sam Haiby suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday’s game against Northern Iowa.

Haiby announced Thursday on Twitter that the injury would put an end to her college career, which included five seasons with Nebraska.

“It’s been one hell of a ride,” she wrote.

Haiby will now be absent from the Huskers’ Thursday night game against Kansas in the Super 16 of the WNIT.

In five seasons at Nebraska, Haiby averaged 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 109 games.

The Minnesota native earned several postseason honors, including All-Big Ten honors in 2021.

Haiby is also the only Husker in the program’s history with over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists.
