One injured in crash with garbage truck near Waverly

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – One person was injured Monday morning in a crash involving a garbage truck near Waverly.

The crash happened on Highway 6 near the Interstate 80 Waverly interchange around 10:15 a.m.

A Nebraska State trooper said a vehicle went through the intersection and “didn’t yield the right away” to an oncoming garbage truck.

A passenger had injuries that were not-life threatening.  The crash shut down northbound Highway 6 while authorities responded to the crash.
