One killed, seven injured in two-vehicle crash west of Lincoln, the sheriff’s office says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash west of Lincoln on Monday night.
Around 7:15 p.m., several first responders were sent to the intersection of Northwest 84th and West O streets.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford Focus was headed south on NW 84th Street when it failed to stop at the intersection and collided with an eastbound Nissan Kicks on West O Street.

The sheriff’s office said a passenger in the Ford Focus was ejected during the crash and was taken to a local hospital, where they later died.
In total, eight people were taken to area hospitals for treatment — three from the Ford Focus and five from the Nissan Kicks.
At the time of the crash, the sheriff’s office said a person was flown to the hospital via StarCare.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, including speed, impairment, distracted driving and seatbelt usage.
