One man learning to walk again at Madonna, with help from his father every step of the way

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two months after an incomplete spinal cord injury, 20-year-old active-duty Air Force member Randy Rodriguez is back on track to walking again, with his father at his side every step of the way.

In his time at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals, Randy has made great strides.  When he arrived, he couldn’t move his toes, or feel anything below his neck.

Now, he is starting to walk again with assistance, and is getting movement back to his body.

Randy’s father, Enrique, has been supporting his son through this difficult process, from helping Randy walk up the stairs in physical therapy to playing catch outside during recreational therapy sessions.

Randy says his father is his biggest cheerleader and motivator for him to recover.
