One quiet afternoon before rain rolls in
Colder night Sunday into Monday morning once more as we could see temperatures dipping below 30°, nearing the mid-20s. That is a far cry from where we started Sunday morning with low temperatures in the upper 40s with help from some lingering clouds in the area.
The cold jumpstart to the week will keep temperatures on Monday “cooler” in terms of what we feel, but high temperatures will actually be right around normal for this timeframe. Winds will continue out of the east, feeling breezy at times.
Besides a quieter start to the week, we have more excitement around the corner in terms of the moisture we have been looking for! Each day of this week, mainly in the evening and late hours of the night, have storm chances and the possibility for some showers. Then, by the end of the week, a harsh cold front will send temperatures into the 30s.
But for the first part of the week, 70s return once more to the forecast.
Looking beyond this week at the probability we stay cold, chances are high that we will remain below normal for some time heading into the week after next as well. Most of the Midwest for now has a good chance to see below normal temperatures heading later into the month of November.
