Man seriously injured in southeast Lincoln crash involving semi-truck, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was seriously injured Sunday in a crash involving a semi-truck in southeast Lincoln, police say.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. at the intersection of 91st Street and Nebraska Parkway.

Police say the semi-truck was turning east onto Nebraska Parkway when it struck a Volkswagen Beetle.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 55-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and no citations have been issued, police say.

The intersection was closed for several hours as officers investigated the crash.
