Motorcyclist killed in northeast Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist died in a crash Tuesday afternoon in northeast Lincoln.

The crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 84th and Holdrege Streets.

Police say an SUV was heading north when it turned onto Holdrege Street and struck a southbound motorcycle.

The motorcycle had been in the turn lane but continued going straight instead.

The motorcyclist, a 21-year-old man, died in the crash, according to police.  The intersection was reopened around 5:40 p.m.
