Osborn releases poll commissioned by his campaign and Ricketts’ campaign responds

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A poll, commissioned by Dan Osborn’s Senate campaign, was released yesterday saying the race is currently tied.

It states that 47% of Nebraska support both Sen. Pete Ricketts and Osborn. 5% are reportedly undecided.

This poll shows a rise in support of Osborn by 4%.

Osborn said the poll shows that Ricketts’ strategies are not working.

“This poll tells us what I hear every day all across Nebraska. In every corner of this state, Nebraskans tell me they’re sick of career politicians and billionaires who think they can buy a Senate seat, hide behind millions in slick ads, and never answer to the people,” said Osborn. “Pete has spent millions attacking me, but it’s not working because Nebraskans know exactly who he is and who he works for. Working Nebraskans are ready to send a message to the political class in Washington, and it starts by replacing a billionaire with a mechanic in the US Senate.”

Max Oberg, Ricketts for Senate Deputy Campaign Manager, said the poll is skewed. 

“Desperate campaigns leak polls. Winning campaigns don’t have to,” Oberg said. “Osborn’s internals were off by 12 points in 2024. This is a gasp for air from a campaign riddled with infighting, fleeing staff, and a dishonest candidate.”
