Overnight FREEZE WARNING Issued For Lancaster County

A FREEZE WARNING has been issued for the eastern portion of Nebraska, including Lancaster county, until 9AM Monday.

Blustery conditions will diminish toward the evening hours becoming light northerly winds. These calm winds, in combination with mostly clear skies, will allow our temperatures to plummet to the low 30s. However, the slightest increase in cloud cover could help keep our temperatures from dropping below freezing.

In either case, tonight is a good night to err on the side of caution regarding any recently planted flowers. With the harmful effects of freezing temperatures and frost on tender plants, cover sensitive vegetation with a sheet overnight and bring potted plants inside.
