Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries; part of West O closes
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A portion of West O Street was shut down Tuesday night after a vehicle struck a pedestrian, police say.
A 29-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a car near Northwest 20th Street, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
It happened about 9:20 p.m., and the westbound and eastbound lanes were closed for several hours as crash reconstructionists worked.
West O Street is currently closed from NW 19th to NW 21st as officers investigate a motor vehicle accident. Please avoid the area if possible.

Witnesses told police that the vehicle had a green light. Drugs and alcohol were not involved, according to authorities.
The woman was crossing near the crosswalk, police said.
