PHOTOS: Hit-and-run suspect arrested on drug charges

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —¬†Sunday evening, an officer pulled over a car near 56th and Pioneers Blvd. after identifying the driver as a suspect involved in a recent hit-and-run.

The driver, 31-year-old Matthew Bauer, was wanted for a Jan. 13th hit-and-run. The officer also noted the strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and saw a glass pipe and marijuana cigarette in the backseat of the vehicle.

A full search of the vehicle yielded nearly 71 grams of cocaine, 392 grams of marijuana, 13 pills of codeine and acetaminophen, as well as THC candy and wax.

Bauer was also in possession of $2,883.

He was arrested on multiple drug charges and cited for his involvement in the hit-and-run.
