LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The northern lights have reached Nebraska.

Channel 8 viewers sent in several photos of the aurora borealis Friday night.

It is rare for visibility of the phenomenon to be this good this far south.

The best chance to see the lights will be from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday, according to Channel 8 metorologists.
