PHOTOS: ‘Sundog’ shines over Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraskans woke up early Thursday morning to see a “sundog” in the sky.
Channel 8 Meteorologist Malcolm Byron said sundogs form when sunlight passes through ice crystals at a specific angle.
This creates an optical illusion on each side of the sun.
