LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Nebraska on Friday.
In a tweet Saturday, officials said the tornado touched down around 10:55 p.m. and traveled 5 miles across Johnson Lake, which is southwest of Lexington.
The weather service reported peak wind speeds of 95 mph. Several homes and buildings were damaged northwest and east of the lake.
