Heavy rains caused flooding and damaged trees in parts of southern Lancaster County Thursday night.

Up to seven inches of rain fell in some areas in a three-hour span, leading to flash flooding.

In Hickman, a small group of people gathered to pull a collection of antique cars out of the floodwater. Half a dozen of the cars were partially or fully submerged.

In other areas, water ran over roadways and into the basements of some homes.

There were reports of culverts being washed out in the Claytonia area. In Bennett, reports of flooding.

More rain is expected Friday.
