Pillen announces new AI chatbot for Nebraska resident assistance
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Gov. Jim Pillen announced a new addition to the State of Nebraska’s website. The addition consists of a resident-assistance chatbot.
The chatbot is called the Nebraska Navigator and is the second phase of the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot project. The first phase was a question spot on the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) website.
“Results from the DMV pilot project were very impressive and now we’re ready to expand its use to even more people,” said Gov. Pillen. “This project aligns with my administration’s goals of providing improved service delivery to citizens, streamlining state resources and meeting the needs of people through the newest forms of technology.”
According to the announcement, the program was tested many times and went live with a 95% success rate.
