Missing woman has been found, Lincoln Police say

UPDATE, 8:20 a.m. — Police say Carmen Ruiz has been located and reunited with her family after she disappeared in Lincoln on Monday night.

Officials are thanking everyone for assisting with the search.


UPDATE, 6:35 a.m. — The Nebraska State Patrol is sharing additional details about the missing woman in Lincoln.

The patrol said Carmen Ruiz suffers from dementia and doesn’t have her medications.

We’re told an Endangered Missing Advisory has been activated to determine her whereabouts.


LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is asking everyone to keep an eye out for Carmen Ruiz.

Officials say the 65-year-old woman as last seen near North 41st Street and Baldwin Avenue on Monday, around 11 p.m.

Ruiz is 5-feet-7 and approximately 125 pounds.  She has brown eyes and brown hair.

Police believe she’s wearing the same coat as the one seen in the photo that was shared.

Ruiz also likely has a black scarf, black leggings and black shoes.
