Police identify man in critical condition after Sunday morning shooting
Authorities on Monday identified a Lincoln man left in critical condition after a shooting south of downtown.
Lincoln Police Officers and Lincoln Fire and Rescue were sent to the area of 14th and E Streets on a report of a person that had been shot around 2:30 A.M. Sunday morning. Police said a man, identified as 30-year-old Antwan Gary, was suffering from gunshot injuries.
Police said Gary was transported to a local hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.
The investigation into the events leading up the shooting is continuing as Crime Scene Investigators and members of the Criminal Investigations team gather evidence and interview witnesses.
Police said the shooting appears to be a targeted assault and there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the general public.
