LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Portions of three Lincoln streets will be closed starting the week of March 13th.

R Street between 13th and 14th Streets will be closed starting on Monday for a water line repair.  The work is scheduled to be finished on March 22. Officials recommend that drivers take 14th Street to Q Street to 13th Street as an alternate route. A few StarTran bus routes will be detoured as crews repair the water line, according to officials.

South Cotner Boulevard between Sumner and South 48th Streets will be closed starting on Monday for a wastewater pipe repair.  The road is expected to reopen on March 24. Drivers can take South Cotner to South 48th to South Street as a detour, city officials say.

Vine Street between 16th Street and Antelope Valley Parkway will be closed on March 14 for the removal of a tower crane. City officials recommend that drivers take Antelope Valley Parkway to X Street to 16th Street.  The closure will affect a few StarTran bus routes.

City officials say digital signs will alert drivers to the upcoming work and closures.

More information on the closures can be found at lincoln.ne.gov/closures and transit.lincoln.ne.gov.
