Protect College Sports Act heads towards final votes in the Senate with Nebraska lawmakers support
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Yesterday, the U.S. Senate voted to invoke cloture regarding the Protect College Sports Act.
Sen. Pete Ricketts is a co-sponsor of the bill and states the success is due to the bipartisan support.
“This is another example where Republicans and Democrats came together, saw an issue regarding college sports and worked to be able to get this bill passed,” Ricketts said. “While it is far from a perfect bill, it is a great step in the right direction.”
The Protect College Sports Act aims to make uniform legislation regarding college athletics and athletes.
