Quiet start to the weekend, rain then snow Saturday night
Most of Saturday is going to be dry, but late Saturday afternoon into the evening hours, we will see rain changing over to snow. That clears out Sunday morning leaving us quiet and cool. More mixed precipitation will be possible Monday then more rain chances by the end of next week.
We’ll see temperatures at or below average for highs Saturday afternoon. It’ll be a little cooler west because precipitation starts there first.
By Saturday evening, snow will be possible in the western half of the state. Rain will be possible in the eastern half.
By very early Sunday, the rain in eastern Nebraska will try to change over to snow.
Snowfall totals aren’t going to be very high with most of us around or less than an inch. Some localized spots, like in SW Nebraska, may see a little more.
The rest of the weekend and into next week will be cooler than average with more mixed precipitation possible on Monday.
