Rain & Flood Threat Through Thursday
7am–11am: Showers & T-storms around Lincoln, Omaha & E Nebraska. Heavier rain bands north of I-80!
1pm–5pm: Heavier rain/T-storms develop in SE Nebraska (with a few brief lulls). A separate ban of storms sets up farther west.
8pm–Midnight: Storms re-develop in SE Nebraska before becoming widespread overnight.
24-HR rainfall potential through 6am Wednesday: 0.5″–1.25″+ NE->SE (localized 2.0″+ in persistent storm bands).
A few strong to SEVERE storms will be possible from G.I & south Wednesday. These storms will add more heavy rain along with the potential for small hail, gusty winds & a brief spin up.
A FLOOD WATCH is in effect through 7PM THURSDAY across much of Nebraska! 2–4″ of rain is expected, with locally heavier amounts of 5″+ possible.
Temperatures look to stay near 66° – 78° through the next 10 days! *Morning temperatures look to stay near 45° – 62°! Some areas could see their first 30s by the end of this week. The best rain chances come Tuesday-Thursday morning. This weekend and next week is shaping up very nicely! Sunny skies & cool temperatures with less active rain chances.
