LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – In a statement from Nebraska Leadership, the Huskers did not close the door completely on pursuing a fall football schedule outside of the conference.

Scott Frost said at a press briefing Monday that they would look at all options if the Big 10 postponed or canceled the fall season. The Big Ten postponed the games until Spring just one day later. No decision has been made at this time whether the Huskers would play football with different teams as of Wednesday.

In a report by Yahoo Sports, Kevin Warren, the Commissioner of the Big 10 was asked if Nebraska could pursue other options this fall outside of the conference. Warrens response was no, not if they want to remain in the Big 10.

Several Husker fans reacted to the news and when asked what their thoughts were on the team leaving the Big 10…most were okay with it. “I like the Big 12 better because the games are a lot closer and we could go to them easier” one fan said on UNL’s campus.
