Record heat this weekend

The next several days are going to be very warm. Saturday will push into the lower and middle 80s and Sunday will see highs in the upper 80s, maybe even a few 90s! The average high? 64 degrees.

A cold front will then move through Sunday night giving us a chance for storms and then MUCH cooler air for next week.

The next three days will have a little bit of everything in them.

  • Warm, sunny, and breezy on Saturday.
  • Hot, partly cloudy, windy, storm chances in the afternoon and evening for Sunday.
  • Cooler, breezy, mostly cloudy with showers possible for Monday.

That storm chance on Sunday will start to kick in late in the afternoon and evening. We won’t see widespread rain, but isolated storms will be possible and any storm that forms will have the chance to become severe. Hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns. The above model is showing storms around our area by 7:30pm.

Wind Gusts

Then on Sunday, it gets WINDY. By the the afternoon, most of us will be seeing wind gusts from 35 to 45 mph.
