Residential plowing continues over weekend, city says
"Every storm is different and can bring its own frustrations."
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – City and contractor crews are continuing to plow residential streets this weekend after the historic snowstorm brought hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) is currently addressing service requests from residents, as well as re-plowing arterial streets as necessary.
“We are working hard to clear all residential streets after this week’s historic snowstorm,” said LTU Director Liz Elliott. “Warmer weather is causing snow-packed streets to become slush-covered, creating new challenges. Every storm is different and can bring its own frustrations. Continued weekend plowing will help us move forward.”
Residents are encouraged to report a street that may have been missed by plow crews to UPLNK.lincoln.ne.gov.
