Rozier, former Huskers hold bowling benefit for Buffett Cancer Foundation

Former Heisman Trophy winner Mike Rozier hosted a fundraising event Friday afternoon at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln.

Proceeds from the event, which was hosted by Rozier’s charity, the Mike T. Rozier Cancer Foundation, will go to support patients and families receiving care at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

The benefit, called "Help Make A Difference," was open to the public, with tickets costing $25.

Supporters got a chance to meet with Rozier and other past Huskers, including legendary coach Tom Osborne and Husker quarterback Tommy Fraizier, take photos and even bowl with the former players.

Attendees were also encouraged to bring perishable donations to support patients going through treatment, which in turn entered them into a raffle prize drawing.

Rozier won the Heisman Trophy in 1983 while playing for the Huskers.
