Scattered rain chances today 6/28/2021

The western half of the area is starting off on the soggy side as a cluster of showers and thunderstorms is moving through. The system is weakening and will likely fall apart before reaching Lincoln. Temperatures for most of southeast Nebraska are sitting in the 60s with a few spots flirting with the upper 50s. Highs later today will be like what we saw yesterday in the mid-80s with mostly cloudy skies. Our rain chances also increase as we head into the afternoon with scattered thunderstorms and showers likely. None of the rain today is expected to be on the severe side. Make sure to keep the rain gear handy all day! Isolated rain chances return through Thursday this week with temperatures sitting in the mid-80s. The holiday forecast looks dry and mild as of now.
